One bag should last approximately 4 weeks for one average cat using a standard sized litter tray.

This can vary depending on the size of your tray, how deeply it is filled, how frequently your cat uses it and whether more than one cat shares the tray. Scoop daily and top up only when needed to make each bag last longer.

Purrlytics is made primarily from plant based materials, those being tofu. Naturally absorbent ingredients create firm, fast forming clumps while remaining lightweight and comfortable under your cat's paws.

Purrlytics contains no clay litter or silica crystals.

It means Purrlytics is tested by an independent third party laboratory based in the UK, rather than only being assessed in house.

Our testing programme examines important areas including microbial quality, heavy metals, selected harmful substances, dust levels and physical performance. Independent testing helps us verify our product claims and maintain consistent standards.

LitterSight™ is our built in litter monitoring technology. It uses pH responsive indicators that react when they come into contact with your cat's urine.

The indicators may change colour when they detect urine that is more acidic or alkaline than expected. This can help you notice changes that might otherwise be easy to miss.

A colour change does not show blood and does not provide a medical diagnosis. Diet, medication, hydration and other factors may influence urine pH. If you notice a repeated or unexpected colour change, or any change in your cat's behaviour or litter box habits, contact your vet for advice.

Tofu cat litter does not have a strict expiry date, but it should be stored properly to maintain its quality. Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place away from moisture. If the litter develops an unusual smell, shows signs of mould, or becomes damp, we recommend replacing it.

Yes. The main litter base is made from tofu, corn and pea fibres rather than clay or silica crystals.

Plant based does not mean edible, and Purrlytics should only be used as cat litter.

Purrlytics has been designed to produce very little airborne dust and is tested as 99.7% dust free.

No loose litter can be guaranteed to produce absolutely no particles, so we recommend pouring it gently into a clean, dry tray.

No. Purrlytics does not contain added fragrance.

Instead of covering odours with perfume, its absorbent plant fibres trap moisture and allow used litter to be removed in firm clumps.

The main Purrlytics litter base is made using renewable plant materials rather than mined clay or manufactured silica crystals.

Its fast clumping formula also allows you to remove only the used litter instead of frequently discarding large amounts of clean litter. This can help reduce unnecessary product waste.

Like every physical product, Purrlytics still has an environmental impact, but we are committed to making thoughtful choices across our ingredients, packaging and delivery process.

Purrlytics may be used with many self cleaning litter boxes that accept fast clumping plant based litter. However, compatibility varies between models.

Check your litter box manufacturer's instructions before use, particularly its recommended granule size and litter type. When trying Purrlytics for the first time, supervise the first few cleaning cycles to make sure the clumps pass through correctly.

Remove solid waste and urine clumps at least once a day, topping up with fresh Purrlytics when needed.

As a general guide, fully empty and clean the tray every three to four weeks, or sooner if it becomes dirty or develops an odour. Multi cat households may require more frequent cleaning.

Wash the tray with warm water and a mild, fragrance free cleaner, then rinse and dry it completely before adding fresh litter.

Place used litter and waste into a securely tied bag and dispose of it in your general household waste, following your local council's guidance.

Do not flush Purrlytics or cat waste down the toilet. Even biodegradable litter should not be placed in household food or garden waste collections unless your local authority specifically permits it.

Place a textured litter mat outside the tray to catch granules from your cat's paws. A high sided or covered tray may also help if your cat likes to dig with unnecessary enthusiasm.

Keep the litter at the recommended depth, avoid overfilling the tray and sweep around it regularly. Placing the tray away from busy walkways can prevent loose pieces travelling further through your home.

A tiny amount accidentally picked up during normal grooming is unlikely to cause concern. However, if your cat deliberately eats litter, consumes a larger amount, repeatedly tries to eat it or appears unwell, contact your vet for advice. Repeated litter eating can sometimes indicate an underlying behavioural or health issue.
